Now that we've covered all the supplies, outfits, and first-day prep, it's time to talk about the real back-to-school challenges: friendships, motivation, study habits, and of course, dealing with those first-day nerves. School isn't just about notebooks and gardes - it's also about how you feel, who you spend time with, and the mindset you bring every day. Here are my best tips to help you survive the new school year.

  1. Making Friends & Avoiding Drama

The start of the school year is the perfect time to meet new people. Especially when you come to a new class or school.

  • Be approachable: Smile, make eye contact, and be open to small conversations.

  • Join clubs or activities: This is the perfect way to find people with the same interests.

  • Avoid drama early: If something feels toxic, step back before it gets bigger.

Real friends make school so much better - so focus on quality and quantity.

  1. Staying Motivated

At the beginning of the school year, we all set ourselves the goal of getting good grades and being a perfect student, right? But motivation can fade fast once the homework piles up, but small habits can keep you on track:

  • Set mini goals - finish one assignment before a break.

  • Reward yourself - snack, music, TikTok break after studying.

  • Switch up your study space so it feels fresh and less boring.

Remember: motivation isn't about being perfect, it's about consistency.

  1. Study Tips That Actually Work

Here are my personal favorites:

  • Pomodoro method: 25 minutes focus, 5 minutes break.

  • Color-coding notes: makes studying way less boring and easier to review.

  • Teach it to someone: if you can explain it, you've learned it.

Cute stationery and playlists also make studying feel less like a chore.

  1. How to Romanticize School

Sometimes it's all about the little things:

  • Pretend your school is your own "study café".

  • Create cute playlists for walking to school.

  • Decorate your desk or locker with things that make you happy.

  • Pretend you're in a high school movie and you're the main role.

  • Pick outfits that make you feel good - confidence is the best accessory.

Turning school into something aesthetic makes even boring days a little brighter.

  1. Dealing With First Day Nerves

It's normal to feel nervous before the first day (literally everyone does, even if they don't admit it).

  • Take deep breaths and remind yourself: it's just another school day.

  • Write everything you think and feel down.

  • Positive self-talk: "I'm prepared, I've got this."

  • Focus on the excitement: new people, new chances, fresh start.

You'll be surprised how quickly the nerves fade once the day gets going.

And that's Part 2 of my Back to School Guide! Remember: school isn't about being perfect - it's about learning, growing, and enjoying the little moments along the way. With the right mindset, this year can be your best one yet. You've got this!

XOXO,

Seraphine
